Why Holiness?

People today think when you say holiness, that it is in the past, that it is old fashioned and not for today.  The Gospel truth is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  The church fell away from truth and holiness many years ago.  Why holiness? Because God is holy!

1 Peter Chapter 1 verses 14-16
verse 16:  Because it is written, be ye holy for I am holy.

If you recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit, what is inside is manifested to all, who your master is.  When we are born again of the incorruptible seed of God in your temple is the holiest of holy in you.  Christians are to perfect holiness in the fear of God.

Note:  You now have a new master, your behavior has changed, your countenance has changed, you are free from bondage of the devil.  Holiness comes with being a child of God.  Without holiness we cannot go to the kingdom of God.

Timothy Chapter 2 verse 9:  That women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety not with braided hair or costly array.

Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning but let it be the hidden man of the heart.  Let us glory in the Holy Ghost that is inside of us.  (glory to the Lord)  the adorning of the outside along will not get you to the kingdom of God, but what will get you there is to obey the Gospel the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ!  Repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  That is the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The old man died and a new man rose.

Matthew Chapter 23 Pharisees hypocrites for ye make clean the outside, but within they are full of extortion and excess.  Outwardly they appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

Matthew Chapter 5 verse 20:
For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh:  for as ye have yielded your member servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
verse 20:  For when ye were the servants of sin ye were free from righteousness.
verse 21:  What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed?
