Isaiah Chapter 66 verses 1-2
verse 1: Thus saith the Lord, the heaven is my throne and earth is my footstool: Where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
verse 2: For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit and tremble at my word.
The lord asks what house will ye build unto me? The Church house is not what the Lord is desiring from people but today we build great and beautiful churches, and building churches is what they think that the Lord wants. Look how the Lord came to this world....
Luke Chapter 2 verse 12: Jesus was wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger.
Matthew Chapter 1 verse 23: and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.
verse 21 and she shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. The almighty God born in a manger.
He is looking for him that is poor and of a contrite spirit and tremble at his word. You build beautiful churches that on the outside is beautiful but inside there is no truth of salvation taught to the people and you have the people come to the front to accept Jesus as your personal savior or the sinners prayer ( Lord forgive me. Come into my heart) (False doctrine) With tears running down their faces thinking they are saved. Woe to the preachers that deceive the people saith the Lord. Without the truth you will not know you must be born again. Please read your bible and pray to the Lord to know the truth of God's word of salvation. Be filled with the holy ghost. Seekers read acts chapters 1 and 2 and spread the word of God to as many as you can. Christ died to save your soul. Don't let a money loving preacher deceive you and find out in the end you were deceived and it is to late in the grave.
Timothy Chapter 3 verse 1-16 read all verses.
verse 3: Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre: but patient, not a brawler, not covetous:
Timothy Chapter 6 verse 10: for the love of money is the root of all evil which while some coveted after they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. The house of God should be about winning souls of men and not a business of the world. Jesus went to the temple and found money changers and sellers of doves. He turned over their tables and ran them out. He said my house is to be a house of prayer, not a place to sell goods or a place to eat and drink. The early believer had church in homes where little groups met and worshipped God and taught the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, even in the 1900 they met in homes, in fields, store fronts, and God was with them wherever they were if they preached the truth and loved the souls of the people to preach about the Holy Ghost.
Matthew Chapter 18 verse 20: for where two or three are gather together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Corinthians 3 verse 16: Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the spirit of God dwelleth in you.
verse 17: If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Seekers pour out your soul in prayer unto the Lord for knowledge of the almighty God, that you many know the truth of salvation that you may be saved at the end. If you come to the Lord in that spirit he will show you the way. Jesus is the way and Life.
Note: When I prayed that prayer long ago the Lord led me to the truth, and I received the gift of the Holy Ghost that is God's spirit in my temple, and he has kept me all of these years. I give to you his message of truth and salvation. Read Acts Chapters 1 and 2. Read what Peter preached that day, and with joy I received this great and wonderful, beautiful gift of God, the Holy Ghost. My rest is in him. Thank God for your love and mercy for all that will come to the truth. Amen
