God's Covenant with Man
Genesis Chapter 12 verses 1-3
Now the Lord said unto Abram, get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy fathers house, unto a land that I will shew thee: and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great: and thou shalt be a blessing : and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis Chapter 17 1-27
And when Abraham was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abraham and said unto him, I am the almighty God: walk before me, and be thou perfect.
verse 4 and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
verse 19 God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed: and thou shalt call his name Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
Genesis Chapter 22 verses 1-24
God asked Abraham to offer Isaac his only son for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
verses 12-13 God and Abraham have confirmed the covenant, for now I know thou fearest God seeing thou has n ot withheld thy son, thine only son from me.
Note: After Abraham was tried, and the covenant was confirmed, what will follow is blessing or curses.
Deuteronomy Chapter 6 verses 1-25
verse 4 Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
verse 5 and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thou soul, and with all thy might.
Read verses 1-15
verse 10 Then beware lest thou forget the Lord.
verse 14 Ye shall not go after other Gods.
Deuteronomy Chapter 28 verses 1-68 Read of the blessing of obedience, and also the curses of disobedience.
Note: This is the promise to the seed of Abraham and all the nations that will follow the Lord as he has commanded. He warns that when you are full, and forget the Lord thou God, then you will be cursed.
Deuteronomy Chapter 8 verses 17-20
verse 17 and thou say in thine hearth my power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
Note Isreal's history of disobedience.
Their victories are not by their power, but their obedience to the commandment of God, and he gives them the victory over all their enemies. Disobedience is when the enemy gets the victory.
Note: When you leave the Lord you loose the victory over all things, then the enemy takes over your life. The enemy is the Devil. It seems that people can not handle blessings without turning the wrong way. When you are full you forget who is blessing. Warning to all nations, when you leave the truth, the blessings will leave, instead of being the head you become the tail. Everything goes in a different direction, when you leave the Lord an go for the world. Israel went into captivity, the enemy took their silver, and gold, and all thier riches and made them slaves in a land they did not know. Abraham looked for a city which hath foundation, whose builder and maker is God. (look to God) The children of Israel were in Egypt 430 years in bondage to Pharaoh. God heard their cry because of the bondage. God called moses and sent him to deliver the children of Israel by signs and wonders. God lead them with fire by night and a cloud by day. They were on their way to the promised land, but a short time in the journey they murmured against moses. They said ye have brought us forth in this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger. God sent quails, and manna from heaven to feed them. God warned thou shall have no other Gods before me.(No Graven Images) Moses went up the mountain to talk to God to receive the Ten Commandments when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mountain they turned from God to make a golden calf and worship and danced around a graven image. We can not forget how we start out living for God. Israel received the promises of God, the seed of Abraham looking for a land flowing with milk and honey. They forgot the Word of God and who they were, and where they were going.
Read Hebrews Chapter 3 verses 1-19
verses 12 Take heed, brethren lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbeliever, in departing from the living God.
verse 19 so we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Note: If you start with truth, and fall away from it at the end you will be like the Israelite who died in the wilderness.
I want to show the history of the Israelites and America, and how leaving the word or the truth of the almighty God will change your life from blessings to a curse and to the nations who have forgot the almighty God.
Samuel Chapter 8 verses 1-20
This is what Israel wanted more than the blessing of God ,was to be like the world around them.
The gentile nations are following the same as did the Israelites, turning away from God and the truth. The warning is a curse instead of blessing. America can not stand without the blessing of the almighty God. Look at the signs of change in America as a nation we are broke and our blessings are slipping away from us. All nations that forget God perish.
Read Jonah Chapter 2 verses 1-10
warning of Jonah to Nineveh to repent of your wickedness.
Note: When the king of Nineveh heard Jonahs message he covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes, and called for a fast that God would not destroy Nineveh, God repented of the evil that he had said. Nineveh was spared because they repented of thier wickedness.
Where is the churches and our leaders in America today? They are not calling a fast and prayer to the almighty God to save us . If the blind lead the blind they both will fall in the ditch. Politicians can not save America, the only one that could is the almighty God. Repentance is the answer. (politicians are the problem) The Israelites that came out of Egypt never crossed the Jordan river for forty years until they died. Not remembering that they were the seed of Abraham, and the promises of the almighty God, their sons and daughters went over Jordan. (There is only one trip through this life on Earth. We must not be deceived by the devil and be lost in the end of the short life we have. Forty years in the wilderness with the promise land a short way to go to a land flowing with milk and honey.)
Pray and ask God to give you wisdom and knowledge of the truth.
Read Matthew Chapter 5 verse 13
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour where with shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden under the foot of men.
