Bible Truth Seekers

Lesson 7

To the Bible truth seekers, this message is for you. To find the truth in a dark world of unbelief, that Jesus Christ has made it available to you through the word of God.  Seek out the truth for yourself!

Read Isaiah Chapter 9 verses 1-21
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called wonderful, counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the prince of peace.

When Jesus Christ came to this world it was to save his people from death and Hell, because they did not know their God.  The four Gospels are his teaching of the commandments of God.  He taught love, compassion, mercy, heaven, hell, and the price of obedience and disobedience to the truth.  He gave his life for our sins, but the Jews cried crucify him.  They crucified the word of God.  He healed their diseases, cast out devils, fed them in the wilderness with five loaves, and two fishes.  He raised Lazarus from the dead with many acts of compassion to the people.

Read Matthew Chapter 27  The Jews said crucify Jesus and release Barabbas.

Read St Luke Chapter 23 verse 24-25
Pilate released unto them him that for sedition, and murder was cast in prison whom they had desired.  This is the world without knowledge of the God that created all things, they chose a murderer, Barabbas.

Read Matthew 20 verse 16  For many be called, but few chosen.
This is the world at the end time, a world in darkness, without the truth and life to the believer.
Who do you choose Jesus or Barabbas?

The world hates truth, and eleven apostles were martyrs because they preached the true Gospel.

Revelation Chapter 1 verses 1-19
John was cast out on the Island of Patmos for the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Note:  This lesson is about the seven churches of Asia.

Read 2nd Timothy Chapter 1 verse 15
Paul said this knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me.  This is the reason the Lord showed John the inside of these churches.  Look what was already there.
The doctrines of Balaam, Nicolaitans, Jezebel fornication, left first love, dead.  The devil was already in the church to change the truth to a lie even where Satans seat is.

Read Job Chapter 1 verses 6-7
God is warning the churches of this time to wake up out of your sleep and see where you have fallen from the truth.  Judgement is coming.  Wake up church.  The day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

Revelation Chapter 2 verses 1-7
Ephesus  Never the less I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.  The Ephesians church had left the Holy Ghost out of the church worship.
Smyrna no rebuke Read verse 8-11
Pergamos verses 12-17  I have a few things against thee because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
The Nicolaitans taught immorality and Idolatry.
Tyatira verses 18-29 Not withstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel which calleth her self a prophets to teach, and to seduce my servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Revelation Chapter 2 verse 20-21  I gave her space to repent of her fornication, and she repented not.  (This fornication is spiritual fornication.)
I say and unto the rest in thyatia as many as have not this doctrine and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak, I will put upon you no other burden.
Sardis  Revelation Chapter 3 verse 1-6
that thou hast a name thou livest, and art dead, anything that is dead has lost the spirit, the Holy Ghost.
Philadelphia Chapter 3 verse 7-13
No Rebuke Lord said, thou hast a little strength
Laodiceans Read verses 14-22
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot.  I would thou wert cold or hot because thou art luke warm, and neither cold nor hot I will spue thee out of my mouth.  Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods and have need of nothing and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

The history of Laodicea
They were known for wealth in the textile industry (production of black wool), the banking industry, also in medical school they concocted a spice, nard, for the treatment of ears, and an eye salve.  (Note: nard is a fragrant ointment of the ancients)

Note: and knowest not that thou art wretched and miserable, poor, blind, and naked when they thought they were rich.  Could we be this deceived about ourself in the church and know not we are like Laodicea.  Jesus said anoint thine eyes with eye salve that thou mayest see.  The light today is the Holy Ghost.  The Lord stands at the door and knocks.  If any man hears my voice and open the door I will come into him.  He that hath an ear let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches.  This is a warning to the church.

Matthew Chapter 25 verses 1-13
Ten virgins which took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  They that were foolish took thier lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps while the bridegroom tarried they all slumbered and slept.  At midnight there was a cry made, behold the bridegroom cometh go ye out to meet him. All those virgins arose and trimmed lamps, the foolish said unto the wise, give us of your oil for our lamps are gone out.  The wise said, not so lest there be not enough for us and you.  While the foolish went to buy, the bridegroom come and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage and the door was shut.  Afterward came also the other virgins saying, Lord Lord open to us.  But he answered and said; verily, verily I say unto you I know you not, watch therefore for you know neither the day nor the hour wherein the son of man cometh.
Note: The oil is the spirit, the holy ghost.
The people were filled with the Holy Ghost in the book of Acts Chapter 2 and when the bridegroom comes we must be full of the oil/Holy Ghost or we will be standing outside the door.  This is the parable from Jesus Christ to the church today.  The warning to the churches is if you are foolish.

Read Hebrews Chapter 2 verses 1-4
verse 3 How shall we escape, If we neglect so great salvation.

Note Seek and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

Note:  The Tyatira Church
The Lord gave Jezebel space to repent of her sins and she repented not.  Will the Lord give the churches that one time preached the pure truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ a space to repent of their falling away from the Lord Jesus Christ?  Will the ones that have fallen away repent and come back?  I hope that you will hear these lessons and come back.  Hear the spirit come.
