Bible Truth Seekers

Thanksgiving

Seekers, the seed of Abraham, manasses made a pilgrimage to a land that God put in their hearts to get away from bondage, persecution, taxation, and from the rulers of the kings of England.  They desired to be free to worship God and to be blessed by God and to prosper in a land that offered everything that a people would need to prosper and serve God and be thankful for all of his blessings.

In 1620 the pilgrims from England Journeyed to the land which we know as America, forming the 13 colonies at plymouth, free to live and serve the Lord without persecution, and made a holiday on the fourth Thursday in November each year to give thanksgiving to God for this land of abundance.

Seekers, count your blessings everyday and give thanks and acknowledge the Lord in all things.  Worship and thanksgiving go together.

The following scriptures are about Thanksgiving.
Psalms 50 verse 14:  Offer unto God thanksgiving:  and pay thy vows unto the most high.
Psalms 95 verse 2:  Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with Psalms.
Colossians 3 verse 15:  and let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body and be ye thankful.
Colossians 2 verse 7:  Rooted and built up in him and established in the faith as ye have been taught, abounding there in with thanksgiving.
2nd Corinthians 9 verse 11-12
verse 11:  Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
verse 12:  For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also my many thanksgivings unto God.
Philippians 4 verse 6: Be careful for nothing: but in everything by prayer, and supplication with Thanksgivng let your requests be made known unto God.
Hebrews 13 verse 15:  by him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. ( Jesus Christ)
Ephesians 5 verse 20:  giving thanks always for all things unto God and the father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 17 verse 11-19

Note:  there were 10 lepers that stood afar off and lifted up their voices, and said Jesus master have mercy on us.  Jesus said go show yourselves unto the priest, as they went they were cleansed.
One leper out of the ten turned to give thanks.  Nine lepers didn't thank the Lord for their healing.  That is how thankful the world is everyday.  How is it we don't know how to give thanks to God?  Are we the one or the nine.  Seekers give thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ that he shed his blood for your sins.
Amen
