Seekers this message is about the Holy Ghost, The comforter, the spirit of truth. God's Plan for today. Will you hear?
John 14 verse 15: If you love me keep my commandments.
verse 16: and I will pray the father, and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever.
verse 17: Even the spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not. Neither knoweth him: but ye know him for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you
verse 18: I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
verse 19: Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more: but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
verse 20: at that day ye shall know that I am in my father and ye in me and I in you.
Chapter 15 verse 26: but when the comforter is come whom I will send unto you from the father even the spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the father he shall testify of me.
Chapter 16 verse 7: Never the less I tell you the truth, It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the comforter will not come unto you? but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
verse 13: How be it when he the spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth; for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will shew you things to come.
Luke Chapter 24 verses 46-49
verse 46: and said unto them, thus it is written and it behoved christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day;
verse 47: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
verse 48: and ye are witness of these things.
verse 49: and behold, I send the promise of my father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Read Acts 2 verse 39: For the promise is unto you and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
John 5 verse 6
This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ not by water only but by water and blood; and it is the spirit that beareth witness, because the spirit is truth.
John 19 verse 34: but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forth with came there out blood and water.
Mark 16 verses 15-20
verse 15: and he said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature,
verse 16: He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
verse 17: and these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name shall they cast out devils: they shall speak with new tongues:
verse 18: They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
Note: Seekers we must recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost, the spirit of truth to be saved. It is the promise of the Lord, the comforter, that will come on the believer. That means that the Holy Ghost in you to lead and guide you in all truth, without the spirit we are none of his.
John 3 verse 3-8
verse 5: Verily, verily I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Acts 19 verses 1-6
verse 1: and it came to pass, that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coast came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
verse 2: He said unto them, Have ye recieved the Holy ghost since ye believed? and they said unto him, we have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
verse 3: and he said unto them unto what then were ye baptized? and they said unto John's baptism.
verse 4: Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him that is on Christ Jesus,
verse 5: When they heard this, they were baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
verse 6: and when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them and they spake with tongues and prophesied.
Note: Seekers I will ask you the most important question of your life, Have you recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost since you believe? One life to seek the truth of God's word, if you have been deceived the grave is the place of the lost that their names were not in the Lambs book of life.
