Seekers, let us begin in St Matthew Chapter 16 verses 13-19.
verse 13: When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesara Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying , whom do men say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and other, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
verse 15: He saith unto them, but whom say ye that I am?
verse 16: and Simon Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ, the son of the living God.
verse 17: and Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven.
verse 18: And I say also unto thee that thou art Peter, and upon this rock, I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
verse 19: and I will give unto thee the key of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Seekers, now Jesus is laying the foundation the rock of his church, the revelation that Peter knew who Jesus is, and Jesus said I give unto you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
First is the revelation. Second is the keys. Third is the message that is bound on earth. That is acts 2 38-39 to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Seekers, without the key to the church you can not get in.
Seekers, Note Luke Chapter 24 verse 47: and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
verse 48: Ye are witnesses of these things,
verse 49: and behold I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power on high and about a hundred twenty were tarrying in an upper room praying.
Seekers, Acts Chapter 2 is the birth of the church that Jesus said he will build and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. This gospel was to be preached to all nations to be saved.
Acts Chapter 2 verses 1-18 Read all.
verse 1: and when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
verse 2: and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
verse 3: and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them,
verse 4: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the spirit gave them utterance.
Seekers this is the beginning of the only bible church that Jesus built, it is bound in heaven, and earth. Note Why did Jesus die to save us from death and hell and not have a church and gospel to send God called preachers to preach the truth, that you can live and not die? Seekers the truth is to save your soul. The lie is to cast your soul into hell which one will you believe?
2000 years ago the church was born and the same gospel today is a must to be saved in the end. There is one Lord, not three. There is but one faith not many. There is one baptism, only in the name of Jesus Christ. It is evening time and in that time there shall be light. The gospel, the truth God's holy word is calling the last souls to come out of darkness and they will hear his voice and come hungry for the bread of life for the Lord that called them, his sheep will come because it is evening time. They will come from all nations to hear the truth the only gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. The truth the word of God is the light of the evening. Will you hear the call of the last people to come? Come my people that you may see the light and live. It is evening time come saith the Lord.
Seekers note Church is church with as little as 2 or 3 gathered together that the Lord said I will be in the mist. The building is not the church, the church is the people that gather in the name of the Lord, that are filled with the Holy Ghost and are worshipping the Lord in spirit and truth. The early church was in the homes of the saints and the Lord was there. Now the building is not what we come to worship but the Lord that is there. Jesus Christ, now if the Lord is there, there will be worship, no program to follow but the spirit of God the word of God the plan of salvation, the truth to rejoice in. Amen.
