Matthew 16 verse 26: For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and loose his own soul? or What shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Luke 12 verse 16: and he spake a parable unto them saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
verse 17: and he thought within himself, saying what shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
verse 18: and he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater: and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
verse 19: and I will say to my soul, soul thou hast much goods laid up for many years: take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry:
verse 20: But God said unto him thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be which thou has provided?
Mark 10 verses 17-22
verse 17: and when he was gone forth into the way there came one running and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
verse 18: and Jesus said unto him, why callest thou me good? There is none good but one that is God.
verse 19: Thou knowest the commandments do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, do not bear false witness, defraud not, honor thy father and mother.
verse 20: and he answered and said unto him, master all these have I observed from my youth.
verse 21: Then Jesus beholding him loved him and said unto him. One thing thou laskest: go thy way, sell what so ever thou hast, and give to the poor and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross and follow me.
verse 22: And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. The young man sold his soul for his possessions, to him his possessions were worth more than his soul. (How Sad)
Genesis 2 verse 7: and the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.
Seekers, the soul of the body which is the spirit of life that enters at birth and leaves at death. The spirit of life comes from God and without the spirit of life the body is dead. The most important thing to me is my soul. Why is that so important to you, because to live forever in the kingdom of God is more profitable than silver and gold, to die and go to hell and be in torment as the rich man said, no mercy, no water, and tormented in this flame. Seekers, the rich man said I will say to my soul, soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years, take thine ease, eat drink and be merry, but God said unto him, thou fool this night thy soul shall be required of thee. Then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided. The young man sold his soul for he had great possessions. Mark 10 verse 17-22
You may ask where does the soul go when you die. The soul of man that has believed the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ born again of the water and the spirit sleeps in the grave until the first resurrection when the Lord calls his church to meet him in the air. The second resurrection is for a thousand year later who sold their souls for the world. Their names were not in the lambs book of life. They didn't believe in the message of being born again. The souls of man can not hide from God. Cremation will not work you can not burn the spirit. Buried in the ocean or the sea, God will call them to come to be judged. Job said even if the skin worms eat your flesh in your flesh you will see God.
Matthew 24 verses 38-39
verse 38: For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking marrying and giving in marriage until the day that Noah entered into the ark.
verse 39: and knew not until the flood came and took them all away so shall also the coming of the son of man be.
Seekers, love the truth, serve the Lord, Obey his word, believe the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus died to save your souls, worship and praise the Lord and save your soul. The truth is the way, Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. It is your soul. What will you do?
